The Beardless Wonder clings to the base of the new cross atop Volcan Masaya. I really do look like a tool without it, but I just felt it was time. Nicaraguan girls really do hate beards. I will say that it almost immediately became worth my while. The other night in Granada I met three unbelievably pretty students from Managua who all speak near perfect English. I can’t help but think that wouldn’t have happened bearded! Hopefully we can build a friendship while I’m here because that’s what I’m seriously lacking.
